Balanset-1A FAQ

How much does Balanset-1A cost?

€1,975 excl. VAT for the kit with 5 m sensor cables, €2,025 with 10 m cables (vibromera.eu, October 2026). VAT depends on your country and VAT status and is calculated at checkout, and so is shipping.

What's in the kit?

The two-channel measuring unit, two vibration sensors (accelerometers on 5 m cables), a laser tachometer with a magnetic stand, reflective tape, digital scales, software on USB, a user manual and a hard carrying case.

Do I need a computer?

Yes. Balanset-1A works with a Windows laptop, which isn't included.

What can I balance with it?

Fans and impellers, mulcher and chopper rotors, threshing drums, crushers, pumps, turbines, centrifuges, spindles and grinding wheels: rigid rotors that run in their own bearings at a stable speed. The tachometer reads 100 to 100,000 rpm; whether a given rotor can be field balanced depends on the rotor and the setup, not only on speed.

Where can I use it?

The manual lists 5 to 50 °C operating temperature and IP54 (dust protected, splash resistant).

One plane or two?

Both. Narrow, disc-shaped rotors usually need one plane. Long rotors like mulcher drums or crusher rotors usually need two.

How accurate is it?

Vibration velocity range 0.02 to 80 mm/s rms, accuracy ±(0.1 + 0.1 × measured value) mm/s. Phase 0 to 360°, ±1°. Frequency range 5 to 550 Hz with up to 10% amplitude error, extendable to 1,000 Hz with up to 20%.

Can it diagnose other problems?

It shows the FFT spectrum and the waveform on both channels, so you can see signs of misalignment or looseness before you balance. It's a balancing instrument with basic analysis, not a full condition monitoring system with routes and trending across a plant.

Can I use it on a balancing machine?

Yes. It's often used as the measuring system of soft-bearing balancing machines, in new builds or to replace old electronics. There's an OEM version with the same electronics and software but without the stand, scales and case.

Do I have to do trial runs every time?

Not always. For a rotor type you've balanced before, saved influence coefficients let you go straight to one run and the correction, as long as the speed, supports, sensor positions and correction radius are the same. Always finish with a check run.

How is it delivered?

Tracked DHL or UPS delivery. The shop estimates dispatch in 1 to 5 business days, and the shipping cost depends on the destination.

Warranty, returns and support?

2-year warranty with free replacement of faulty parts, a 30-day return policy (conditions apply) and free software updates. Free support by manual, videos, forum and e-mail. Extended support over WhatsApp is available as a paid subscription.

How can I pay?

Card, PayPal or bank transfer. For a transfer, use "Request invoice" at checkout to get an invoice.

Is there a discount code?

Yes: code GEAR100 takes €100 off the VAT-inclusive total (€81.30 before VAT) on orders over €1,000 at vibromera.eu and vibromera.com. If you buy without VAT, the discount is €81.30. One code per order, it can't be combined with other codes. I earn a commission on orders with this code.
